Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has said the government is making vigorous efforts to provide relief to the common people through targeted subsidies in view of the international surge in energy prices.
In a televised message today, he said the government has no role in the ongoing conflict, which has disrupted petroleum prices worldwide.
The Adviser said Pakistan is also playing a leading role in promoting peace in the region. He remarked that it is ironic that certain elements are misleading the public for their vested political interests.
Rana Sanaullah said it is time to forge unity to overcome the current crisis. He expressed confidence that the resilient people of Pakistan will successfully emerge from this situation.
