Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Chinese Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong.
Speaking to the Chinese consul general, the minister said that the Chinese businessmen were playing an important role in the development of the country.
He said that soon a conference would be convened in Islamabad to resolve the issues confronted by the Chinese businessmen.
He invited Yundong and Chinese businessmen living in Karachi to participate in the conference.
Naqvi said the government wanted that more and more Chinese citizens invested their money in Pakistan. “The provision of business friendly environment to Chinese businessmen is a top priority for the government,” he added.
He, on the occasion, briefed the Chinese consul general on the steps taken for the security of Chinese citizens in the country.
Yundong expressed his satisfaction over the security arrangements.
In his meeting with Sindh CM, the law and order situation in the country as well as tensions in the region came under discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that at a time when there was tension in the region, national unity was need of the hour.
He further said that both the military and civilian leaderships of the country were playing their role to defuse tension in the Gulf.
