A delegation from the Russian Embassy in Islamabad, led by an attaché, Sergei Chikalan, and a staff member, Sergei Mededov, along with family members, visited the Kartarpur Corridor, it was reported on Wednesday.
According to the channel report, on arrival, the Russian delegation was warmly received by the administration of the Kartarpur Corridor.
The members of the Russian delegation offered religious rituals, including “Matha Teka”, and had Langar with the guests.
The Head Garanthi presented a Saropa to the Russian delegation. They also thanked the government of Pakistan and the Kartarpur administration for providing them with the best facilities during their visit to the Kartarpur Corridor.
Earlier in April 2025, a delegation of US Congress members, accompanied by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, visited the Kartarpur Corridor and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib to participate in Baisakhi celebrations.
The delegation included US Congressman Thomas Richard Suozzi, Congressman Jonathan Jackson, Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie Baker, and US Consul General in Lahore Kristen K. Hawkins.
