Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel have arrested a key member of a banned organization and recovered terror material during an operation in Sahiwal, it was reported on Thursday.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the accused Farman Afridi was distributing books and pamphlets of the banned organization near Government High School 135-9L.
On the information of the informant, CTD arrested the accused on the spot and recovered six books, 20 pamphlets, cash and membership card.
The accused belongs to the banned organization Al-Qaeda and was inviting people to join the organization.
A case has been registered against the accused at CTD Sahiwal police station under various sections of terrorism and further investigation is underway.
