KARACHI: A judicial magistrate in Karachi has set July 25 as the date to frame charges against Anmol, alias Pinky, who is facing multiple cases related to alleged drug trafficking.
The Judicial Magistrate (South) fixed the indictment date and adjourned further proceedings in the cases for two weeks.
According to jail authorities, copies of the charge sheets and witness statements in six cases have been provided to the accused inside the prison in compliance with court orders. Prison staff personally delivered the documents to the accused.
Police said the cases against Anmol were registered between 2020 and 2022, and that she had remained a proclaimed absconder in those cases.
Investigators said the accused was formally arrested in the pending cases after being taken into custody in connection with a separate case registered at the Garden police station.
