Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chairs a meeting on medical educational institutions to review the current regulatory framework for the approval of the educational institutions.
According to spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviews the approval system for medical, dental and alternative medicine institutions.
The meeting stressed improvement in educational standards, transparency and uniformity. Ishaq Dar stressed on making accreditation process in line with international standards.
He sought recommendations from Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders and in this regard, meeting will be reconvened next week to review the recommendations. Federal ministers, special assistant to the Prime Minister and senior officials will attend the meeting.
