A woman and her husband have been arrested in connection with the killing of her father in a village in Sindh’s Sujawal district, it was reported on Monday.
According to the channel report, the incident took place in Karo Machhi village, where a man identified as Sawan Machhi was stabbed to death.
The local police told the media persons that the victim’s daughter, Farzana, and her husband, Jani, were allegedly involved in the killing.
Police officials confirmed that both suspects Farzana and Jani have been taken into custody and are being questioned regarding the murder.
During the investigation, Farzana allegedly told police that her father had subjected her to sexual abuse, the TV channel reported.
According to investigators, the accused woman claimed that the alleged abuse had been taking place over a period of time.
Police said these allegations are also being examined as part of the ongoing inquiry.
