Blast destroys 132kV power tower, disrupts electricity in Naseerabad

A powerful explosion destroyed a 132kV electricity transmission tower in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district, disrupting power supply to several areas, including Bolan, officials said on Monday.

According to police, unidentified individuals were behind the blast that brought down the transmission tower. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine those responsible for the attack.

The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) confirmed the incident, stating that the damaged transmission line was supplying electricity from Sibi to Bolan. The outage affected multiple areas connected to the line.

QESCO said technical and support teams have been dispatched to the site to assess the damage and begin restoration work. Efforts are underway to restore electricity as quickly as possible while security agencies continue their investigation into the explosion.
