The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) spokesperson has issued an alert for further rain accompanied by thunder across the country.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, rain is expected in most parts of the country during the next 12 to 24 hours, the NDMA said. Snowfall is also likely in the upper mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
Rain with the possibility of hailstorms has been forecast for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as the plains. In Islamabad and various cities of Punjab, rain is also expected, according to the NDMA.
Several areas of Balochistan may receive rain with thunder. Authorities have warned that wet conditions may make roads slippery and disrupt the flow of traffic.
In hilly areas, traffic may be affected. Travellers have been advised to exercise caution.
