KARACHI: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a meeting with Governor of Uzbekistan’s Navoi Region Nurmat Tursunov in Karachi.
Deputy Governor of Navoi Region Albek Ghaffarov also attended the meeting alongside the governor.
The Uzbek delegation included Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev and Second Secretary Ravshan Jumanov.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Governor Nurmat Tursunov discussed regional and economic cooperation during the meeting.
Both sides also exchanged views on possibilities of cooperation and partnership in minerals and energy projects.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the trade corridor linking Central Asia with Pakistan was important for regional development.
Governor Tursunov said Pakistan was a friendly country and greater cooperation opportunities would benefit the region.
