Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah has said that the mandate of the constitution is that the state shall provide prompt and affordable justice to its people, adding that no society can progress without accountability.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Judicial Complex Dargai in Malakand, PHC Chief Justice said that the role of the Bar Association cannot be ignored. The Bar Association and the members of the Bar have always been very close to the heart of the judiciary team.
Justice Atiq Shah said the concept of judiciary remained incomplete without understanding the role of the Bar Association.
The Chief Justice said the restoration of an independent judiciary was possible only through the struggle of the Bar Association.
