DI KHAN: Police successfully foiled an armed robbery attempt at the National Bank branch in Prova due to a swift and effective response by the Quick Response Force.
Following the incident, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera, Syed Ashfaq Anwar, immediately reached the scene to review the situation.
District Police Officer (DPO) Dera, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada, briefed the RPO about the incident, stating that the suspects attempted to loot the bank but the timely action of the police completely thwarted their plan. He confirmed that all bank staff remained safe and no major loss occurred.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar said that Dera Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens at all costs. He added that the incident reflects the police force’s quick, effective, and professional response.
He further emphasized that no criminal group will be allowed to disturb public peace and security. “Dera Police remains vigilant around the clock to serve and protect the public. No matter how organized or powerful the criminals may be, they cannot escape the grip of the law,” he said.
Police have intensified security measures in the area and launched further investigations into the attempted robbery.
