LAHORE: Police have arrested a group of women allegedly involved in a series of pickpocketing incidents in the Ghalib Market area of Lahore.
According to officials, the suspects primarily targeted female shoppers, stealing wallets, cash and mobile phones in crowded marketplaces. The gang is also believed to have carried out a theft at a boutique on MM Alam Road.
Police identified the arrested women as Sana and Kanwal, stating that both have prior criminal records. During the operation, officers recovered cash and a blade allegedly used in the thefts.
Further investigation is underway as authorities examine the group’s possible involvement in other incidents across the city.
