Governor Balochistan leads delegation to Beijing; marks 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship

BEIJING: Governor Balochistan, accompanied by a united delegation of political leaders from across the country, has arrived in Beijing to participate in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan-China friendship.

The visit is being hailed as a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation and shaping a brighter future.

The delegation, representing diverse political parties, symbolizes national unity, vision, and commitment to development, said a news release.

During the historic visit, members will review China’s advancements in solar energy, explore its rich cultural heritage, and observe innovations at Silicon Street, a unique blend of tradition and scientific progress. Speakers noted that cultural heritage and modernization remain twin pillars of Chinese civilization.

The delegation is scheduled to meet senior representatives of the Communist Party of China to exchange views on the rapidly evolving global political and economic landscape, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and the vision for future strategic cooperation.

Governor Balochistan emphasized that the Diamond Jubilee celebrations mark a milestone in Pakistan-China relations, with CPEC at the core of this enduring partnership. He highlighted Gwadar City as the crown jewel of CPEC, predicting that upon its completion, Balochistan will emerge as a global hub for trade, investment, and innovation.

He further expressed determination to advance the development of public sector universities in Balochistan and create new scholarship opportunities for youth, reaffirming his commitment to building a prosperous future. The Governor described the 75-year partnership as an unshakeable bond and a “bright force” guiding both nations toward a shared destiny.

The week-long official visit includes prominent leaders such as PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwala, JUI-F Senator Atta-ul-Haq from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, former Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langau, Provincial Minister Muhammad Khan Lehri, Senator Saeed Hassan Mandokhail, former caretaker CM Alauddin Marri, Parliamentary Secretary Barkat Ali Rind, former MNA Syed Mehmood Shah, Mir Azizullah Khan, Muhammad Umeed, JUI-F leader Nasir Mehmood from KP, and CM’s focal person Baizid Khan Kasi.
